Rennes-le-Château

A tiny hilltop village near Carcassone, made famous by the DaVInci code, its mystery was already well known by locals and other aficionados of all things esoteric and is an important site on the Mary Magdelen pilgrimage trail.  It's intriguing symbolic church and Villa Bethany, it's Magdelen Tower built by the local priest Berengere Saunière has raised more questions than answers and people flock to the village not only to admire the views and eat in one of the little restaurants but to soak up the energy and maybe understand abit more about it's mystery.
