In the heartlands of Provence, this town is home to a magnificent 13th century Cathedral dedicated to Mary Magdelen, where her relics are said to lie. The caves up in the surrounding hills of Saint Baume are also very important pilgrimage sites and the Kings of France and nobility all made their way through the ancient oak forests to pay tribute. These sites, easily accessible, are part of many sacred feminin tours and are part of a circuit that takes in many of the spiritual sites of Southern France.
